Samuel Washington was born May 7, 1944 in Jacksonville, Florida to Christine Kelly and Samuel Washington Sr. He was the 2nd oldest child of nine brothers.

Samuel later moved to Chicago, Illinois where he grew up and attended high school, and met his devoted wife Veronica in 1972. Samuel and Veronica had two children Saron and Onica. Together they blended the family with Rickey and Lamont.

In 1978, Samuel and Veronica together with their son Saron moved to California where they had a daughter Onica in 1988. Samuel also graduated from Chaffey College and opened many different businesses. Samuel enjoyed running his own businesses, traveling, spending time with family, and he loved taking pictures and home videos. Samuel was always taking pictures, wherever he went and always had a camera in his hand. Samuel was loved by all he came in contact with and will be greatly missed.
