



Meah Dewana Boyd
November 28, 1977 - February 28, 2021
Meah "Mimi" Boyd was born November 28, 1977 in Tucson, Arizona to Faith Gaines. The middle child of three daughters born to Faith, Mimi (as she was affectionately called) spent her early years and young adult life between her hometown and California. In 1996, Mimi graduated from Woodrow Wilson Classical High School in Long Beach, California. During her time in Long Beach, Mimi's union with her high school sweetheart Jason Jones produced two precious sons: Trevion and Larry, The two remained friends and co-parent throughout her life, In Long Beach, Mimi's mother found everlasting love when she married Floyd, whom Mimi came to consider her father, no "step" title included.
Mimi went on to Marry Roosevelt Marshall Jefferson, and together they welcomed two beautiful daughters: Malaysia and Nautica. Mimi studied multiple subjects in the medical field, obtaining various certifications throughout the years. Mimi eventually moved to Las Vegas, Nevada with her children where she lived out the rest of her life. During her time in Vegas Mimi formed a loving, lifelong friendship with Tay, who will forever be known as family. Those that knew Mimi were blessed to experience such a true, authentic and unforgettable soul.
Yet her realness only complimented the true beauty she was, both inside and out. She had a smile that lit up a room and a laugh that could lighten anyone's spirit, no matter the mood. Her energy was contagious, and it didn't take long for her to turn new connections into lifelong, memorable relationships.
