Levonne Mae Ross
December 7, 1949 - May 16, 2021
Our dearly beloved Sis. Levonne "Bonnie" Ross, 71 of Las Vegas, NV, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, on Sunday evening at her resident, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 7, 1949, in Altheimer, AR; the daughter of the late Ivra Baldwin Sr., and Beatrice Ivory Baldwin. Levonne attended Altheimer Public Schools where she graduated in 1967. After high school, she moved to Las Vegas, NV. Levonne worked at the Flamingo Hilton Hotel for 23 years and retired as a hospitality Supervisor in 1998 due to health issues.
She was blessed with the first pride and joy of her life, Shantrese Baldwin, April 3, 1973, from her union to the late Johnny Ross. Her second human heartbeat, Adrian Parker, son of Rev. Albert Parker, was born on May 17, 1979. Levonne was known for her sassy personality, wonderful soul food cooking skills, and people always marveled at her long beautiful natural nails. She also had an unwavering devotion to serving in ministry in whatever capacity she was needed. She served for many faithful years as president of the choir, working with children and as a faithful Sunday School teacher at the True Love Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev l.W. Wilson. She later joined Greater New Union Baptist Church and served as a bible teacher and trustee under the leadership of Pastor James Lucas. She remained faithful until her health began did not permit.
