Betty Jean Knappenberger Born Jan. 11, 1947, she was 79 years old when she peacefully passed away at ProCare Hospice here in Las Vegas. Betty was born in Indiana County, Pennsylvania to Zenus and Winfred Hoover she had 2 brothers Richard the eldest who is still alive and Robert has also past . Betty is survived by her husband Neal Knappenberger stepsons, Richard and Paul along with stepsister Nona Salem. Grand children Abigial Salem and stepson Bryce. Betty loved to play cards or any good games and was a pretty good golfer. She and Neal went to many different states to play. But the best home away from Las Vegas was their home for 20 summers in Blanchard, Id. just above CD'A, Idaho. Betty decided to give her body to science so others might have a chance to live a little longer. Her ashes will be taken up to Idaho for a ceremony at our summer home.

Mmesoma-Morré Mercy-Clarissa Nwachukwu was born on August 6, 2025, a precious blessing sent from God. On December 22, 2025, she was gently called home to eternal rest. Though her time on earth was brief, her life carried divine purpose and left an everlasting imprint of love on the hearts of her family. From the moment she entered this world, Mmesoma embodied innocence, purity, and the beauty of God's creation. She was lovingly entrusted to her parents, Morris Nwachukwu and Shatawnee Robinson, who cherished her deeply and held her as a sacred gift from the Lord. Her gentle presence, though quiet and tender, brought immeasurable joy, hope, and unity to her family. Along with a beautiful smile and at times serious facial expressions. Although she was four and a half months, her soul had definitely been here before as she expressed that with her beautiful eyebrows. Especially when she watched her favorite cartoon. The Boss babies with her twin brother and big sister, Morris and Miyanna. Mmesoma's life serves as a reminder that God's plans are perfect, even when they are difficult to understand. While her family longed for more time, they find comfort in knowing that she now rests safely in the arms of Jesus, free from pain and sorrow. Her short life speaks powerfully of God's grace, mercy, and the sacredness of every soul. She is lovingly survived by her parents; her beloved siblings, Miyanna and Mmesoma's twin brother, Morris; her grandparents, great-grandparents; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family/friend members who will forever cherish her memory. RC Valentine was born in Garland City, Arkansas, to parents who preceded him in death, his father, Rev. Jack Valentine, and his mother, Mamie Johnson. At the age of 14, R.C. relocated to Texarkana, Arkansas, where he later married and began raising his family. At 20 years old, he moved to California, and in 1972, he settled in Las Vegas, Nevada, where he remained until his passing. RC was employed as a gardener at the Tropicana, where his strong work ethic was evident. He was known for his infectious laughter, love of dancing, and his ability to bring joy to those around him. A man of faith, RC believed deeply in God and lived his life filled with love, kindness, and warmth. If love could have saved you, you would have lived forever" He was married four times during his life, united in marriage to Cleo Cooper, Cora Lee Valentine, Deloris Valentine, and Beatric Valentine. RC was the proud father of nine children. Four preceded him in death: James Anthony Valentine, Marjorie Valentine, Martha Ann Valentine, and Robert Charles Valentine. He leaves to cherish his memory five loving daughters: Shirley Jean Valentine Turner, Bonnie Jean Lane, Wyomnie Valentine, Juanita Valentine Perry, and Lawana Deloris Valentine. He was also preceded in death by his two sisters, Orie Valentine and Marjorie Valentine. RC was blessed with a large and loving family, including 33 grandchildren, and a host of great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and great-great-great-grandchildren, all of whom were a source of great pride and joy. Celebrating the life of Mildred Renee Hardison was born January 10, 1971, in Las Vegas, Nevada, to Mary and James Jimerson. Renee moved from Las Vegas to Fordyce, Arkansas, at the age of four with her parents. Renee attended Patterson Elementary School and graduated from Fordyce High School. After graduating, she joined the Army and completed cosmetology school, where she became a talented hairstylist within her family and community. She was known for her sculpture ponytails and finger waves. She then decided to move back to Las Vegas, where she met her husband, Hythenial Hardison, and married on September 24, 1994. She enjoyed fishing, singing, dancing, cooking, playing cards, and spending time with her family. She kept candy and anything sweet with her at all times (even though she wasn't supposed to have it). Renee had such a kind heart, bright spirit, and the ability to bring joy to those around her. Her presence made the world a better place. She was preceded in death by her Grandmother, Mildred Mae Allen; Grandfather, Joseph Glasper; Grandmother Francis Harris; Grandfather Edward Jimerson; Aunt Doris Allen (Glasper); Aunt Marilyn Glasper; and Uncle Joseph Glasper. Sue Ellen Gaines was born on December 3, 1952 in Harlan Iowa to Daniel and Evelyn Flug. She was the 6th of 6 children. She was joined in holy matrimony to Rollin C. (Otto) Gaines on July 9, 1971. In this Union, 2 daughters were born, Katrina Kline and Margaret Gaines.
Otto and Sue moved to Las Vegas in 1981. Sue worked as Graphic Designer at MGM/Bally's for many years. In 1998, she obtained her Real Estate License and was an office manager and bookkeeper in the real estate field.
Sue dedicated a lot of her time to working with the mentally ill community. She was the President of Nevada of National Alliance for the Mentally Ill (NAMI). Along with Otto she trained our Crisis Intervention Team within the LVMPD.
Sue was a lifelong Green Bay Packers fan and recently became a dedicated Golden Knights fan. She enjoyed shopping for and collecting antiques, baking, watching her Tv shows and movies, and hanging out with her children and grandchildren. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
