




Robert Lee Spencer

Robert Lee Spencer Jr. was born February 8, 1954 in Las Vegas, Nevada to Robert L. Spencer Sr. and Lillie L Spencer. He was the second born of five children. Robert was affectionately known as "Bob" or "Sly" his stage name. Bob grew up in West Las Vegas where he attended West side school for kindergarten. He learned to play the trumpet while he attended Madison Elementary and Cashman Junior High school. Bob was in the Western High School marching band where he graduated from in 1972. During his early years Bob developed a love of music, he was self-taught and was able to play the organ by ear. During his high school years, he was in a band called the Band of gypsy he was the key board player his band played several venues around Las Vegas. As a young boy Bob learned about Jehovah God and he still believed in Jehovah God and the resurrection hope.
In the 1986 he met Miranda Clark while working at Circus Circus as a cook. She became his best friend and mother to his son. Bob retired from Circus Circus and worked as a security guard until he fell ill. Robert will truly be missed by all because he was loved by all.
