Richard Johnson was born to Freddie Hedgeman and Wallard Blackward on August 4, 1954 in Arkansas City, AR. In 1976 he traveled to Las Vegas and pursued a career in roofing at Chief's Roofing Co. He continued his career until he became disabled and retired. Richard enjoyed fishing and sitting at home watching westerns and sports. He also enjoyed cooking, listening to blues music, playing dominoes and spades. Richard also dibbled and dabbled on working on vehicles and boats. He really loved singing with the male choir. As far as personality, Richard was very strong and opinionated and did not mind saying what was on his mind. Anyone who knew him should know this.

He survived open heart surgery for 20 years, he fought and struggled with kidney problems and dialysis. He fought a good fight.
