Joe Dell Whitaker was born on June 1, 1938 in Nacogdoches, Texas to Joe Dell and Sarah Ann Hunt Whitaker. Joe was the eldest of two sons. He transitioned to his heavenly home on Thursday, January 28, 2021 Joe moved to Toledo, Ohio at an early age. He graduated from Woodward High School in Toledo.
He met and married Sandra Renee Parr and to this union two children were born: Sherie and Steven Whitaker. He later married Lorraine Quinn and they welcomed their only son, Joe Dell "Joey" Whitaker. Joe played the piano as a young boy.
He loved music, especially Jazz. He was a devout Christian who loved his family, especially his children and grandchildren.
Joe was a people person. He loved people and everyone loved him. He made everyone feel like they were the most important person in the world. Joe was an avid festivals. He appreciated all things beautiful.
