Gerome Beatty was born on October 19,1936 to the union of Hula Mae Clyburn and Rome Elmore Beatty in Charlotte, North Carolina. Gerome accepted Christ at a very early age at Salem Baptist Church in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Gerome Beatty married Rosie Lee in 1968. Then to Kirstine in 1986. he Later married Almadene, all in Las Vegas Nevada. Gerome Beatty graduated in May 1955 from Plato Price High School in Charlotte, North Carolina, Gerome was the the top Eagle Scout in North Carolina. He later led troops in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Gerome went on to serve the United States Air force from 1956 to 1965. He left the air force and resided in Las Vegas, Nevada. Gerome retired from sears where he was the first Afro-American technician for sears in the State of Nevada
