Charles Lay Jr. Was born July 31, 1949 in Atalla, Mississippi to Charles Lay Sr. and Thelma Ruth Dodd. Charles departed this life on July 8, 2020 at Mt. View Hospital. He moved to Las Vegas at an early age and attended Las Vegas High School where he later graduated. He was enlisted in the armed Forces (Army) October 12, 1970 for a short time where he later received an honorable discharged. He received the National Defense Service Medal, Marksmanship badge, Driver award, and a Good Conduct medal. Charles was active in church until he took ill. His work history included many. He was a cleaning technician and later owned his own company, C&C Detail. He also worked in the hotel industry as a cook and later promoted to chef.
