Aaron Merrill Galbraith, born on December 12, 1969, in Murray Utah, to William Franklin Galbraith and Barbara Jean Merrill, passed away on July 16, 2024, in Henderson, Nevada. Aaron was the beloved firstborn of four children.
Aaron’s early education took him from Crestwood Street School in San Pedro, Ca, to Valley Elementary School in Beavercreek, OH, and Ankeney Junior High in Beavercreek. He graduated from Beavercreek High School in 1988. He went on to graduate with honors from Bowling Green Sate University in Ohio, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Arts, and later completed studies in city planning at the University of Utah.
A devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Aaron served in the Oregon Portland Mission. Known as a delightful and giggly child, Aaron was always alert to his surroundings and joyfully welcomed his baby sister when she came along.
In his youth, Aaron delivered the Beavercreek Daily News and was actively involved in the Boy Scouts, selling popcorn, participating in fundraisers, and learning outdoor survival skills. His career began at RMI in 1996 and continued with Nevada West starting in 2004.
Aaron had a passion for the great outdoors, expressed a deep love for the United States, and held a great respect for the armed services and first responders. He enjoyed staying fit through martial arts, cycling, skiing, and swimming. He was enthusiastic about emergency and long-term preparedness, gun safety, and short wave radio. Aaron cherished family time, often visiting his brother Edward's home in Utah and his mom and stepdad in Anderson, Indiana, especially around Thanksgiving.
Aaron’s sporting life began with church baseball in 1978 and included junior high baseball and elementary school soccer. He loved science projects, particularly building and launching model rockets.
Aaron was known for his generosity, always seeking quiet ways to help others. He valued family deeply and was beloved by his nieces and nephews. His prayers and spiritual nature was evident from a young age, and he always strived to be a protector, especially of his sister Annie. Honesty and integrity were hallmarks of his character, as demonstrated throughout his life.
Aaron is survived by his parents Bill Galbraith and Barbara Jean Cruikshank (Don), his sister Anne M. Hutchinson (Gavin), his brothers David M. Galbraith and Edward M. Galbraith (Barbara), and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.
His loss is felt very deeply by those who knew and loved him.
