Tamika Michelle Perkins was born to her proud parents, Dorothea Brown and Michael Perkins Sr. She was the oldest of 3 children born to that union. Joined by her brother, Michael Perkins, Jr. and sister, Miesha Miles-Wilson.

Tamika was educated in Altadena and Pasadena, California. She attended Burbank Elementary School, Jackson Elementary, Wilson Middle School and Marshall Fundamental School.

Tamika was a proud devoted mother of 3 boys, Trevion being her oldest, then Malik and lastly Deion. She had Malik and Deion after she relocated to Las Vegas with her mother, always known as her twin.

Tamika was such a sweet and happy person. She was quiet and stayed to herself, but she has a smile that would brighten your day and a warming laugh which made her such a great person to be around.

Tamika had a love for music. She would go on YouTube and watch the same songs over and over and just bob her head and smile. Some of her favorite artists were, Lloyd, Ludacris, Snoop Dogg, John Legend, Amanda Perez, Chris Brown, and more. She was a huge fan of Ice Cube because he reminded her so much of her brother, Michael, Jr. Tamika loved watching movies but would never leave the house to go see any. Everyone knew that about her. Some of her favorite were: Boys in the Hood, You got Served, and Stomp the Yard, just to name a few.

If you knew Tamika, you knew that he loved any and all kinds of food, with seafood being her favorite. She was ready and willing to try it all. Tavion was always bringing her whatever he was eating. She also enjoyed the drinks that he would bring her from Fat Tuesday. Throughout it all, the bond that she shared with her 3 boys was unbreakable.
