Shirley Jean set forth on this earthly journey on December 21, 1957 in Las Vegas, NV. Born to the late Clyde D. Straughter and Julia Mae Troutman. Shirley attended Clark County School District and graduated from Western High School. She was a beautiful person inside and out, who loved people and always had her nieces and nephews over to her house. Shirley was employed at an early age where she worked at Nevada State Bank for 25 years. After her retirement she was employed with McCarran Airport, The Hilton Hotel and Clark County School District, retiring in 2016.
Shirley accepted Christ at an early age, reading her bible every day until the Lord said " Well done my child" Shirley was a member of the Greater St. James Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of Reverend Donnell Horn. Shirley enjoyed basketball and baseball. She was always at the park playing basketball with her sons. Always making sure to bring along her nieces and nephews. She played on the Hilton Hotel softball team with her sister Lois. The El Cortez was a favorite hangout for Shirley, her mother, sisters, and brothers, hanging out until the wee hours and enjoying each other.
While enjoying her life, Shirley gave her heart to the late James C. Coleman Sr. This union birth three handsome sons James, Mario, and Derek, two preceding her in death. In 1991, she met and married Tommie Siebert until God called him home. Shirley has always been a devoted and loving wife and mother. On October 13, 2018 the earthly life of Shirley Siebert was called to her Heavenly home. Her legacy will always continue to live on because she loved everyone, and everyone loved her. Shirley has always was ever giving and a great example of true love.
Shirley was known as "Shelly" to her family and friends, but to her granddaughter she was "Bubbles". Shirley was a living witness to the abundance of love on Earth, always offering sweet words of encouragement or prayers for all who encountered her. Her smile is unforgettable.
