Richard Thompson was born September 13, 1936 to Louise Watts and Napoleon Thompson in Hubbard, TX. He grew up in Hubbard, TX and graduated from Phyllis Wheatley High School, Class of "57". Richard moved to Ft. Worth, TX where he worked and had 4 children.

Richard then left Ft. Worth, TX and moved to Milwaukee, WI in 1974 with 2 of his aunts; Ms. Vera and Mrs. Everline, where he worked at AO Smith. Richard then met Bobbie Barnett in August of 1973 and they dated for about 5 years.

In 1978, Richard relocated to Las Vegas, NV with Bobbie Barnett and shortly after they moved to Las Vegas, NV Richard was employed at the Silverbird Hotel & Casino until they closed. Richard went on to find employment at the Fitzgerald Hotel and Casino downtown Las Vegas, where he worked 20 years and retired. So, then Richard decided to be a crossing guard for about 3 years.

Richard's spare time, he loved to watch his favorite football team the San Francisco 49ers and the UNLV Runnin Rebel's basketball team and enjoying his favorite food KFC Hot Wings.
