After his tenure in the army, Paul moved to Los Angeles, California. he worked as a skilled carpenter and joined the union. As a union member,he was afforded the opportunity to help develop his community by assisting the major projects. Some of the developments were Bank of America, First Interstate Bank, and Southwest College. He was also an entrepreneur and owned a dry cleaner, a service station, and income property.
Paul married Catherine and with this union, there were five children, Tyrone, Dannelle,Paul Jr., who proceeded him in death, Michael, and Lydia. He provided Unconditional love and affection to his family.he was a devoted husband and father who always supported and participated in his children's lives

He loved horse racing. He frequently attended Hollywood Park and Santa Anita racetracks. He was an expert Auctioneer. His second passion was his music and enjoyed harmonious sounds of the organ. So, he purchased as organ and took lessons. Paul had an awesome voice and would sing as he played. He will be remembered for not the jack, but the master of all trades. Simply because he was a painter, a mechanic, a computer tech, an appliance repairman and landscaper:you name it he could fix it. He also known for his finger-licking good barbeque and firework display.
