October 31, 1950 - December 20, 2021

Michael Edward Meagher 70, of N. Las Vegas, NV, passed away Sun, Dec. 20, 2020 of Covid. Born Oct. 31, 1950 in Middletown, CT to Robert John Meagher and Laura Grasso Meagher. Preceded in death by his parents; grandson Taylor Beahm and sister, Loretta Kenney-Nassif. Michael is survived by his best friend and love of over 27 years, Christine Meagher; his step-mothers Josephine Brinkmann and Dixie Sylvester; his kids; Robert Meagher, Christopher (Cara) Meagher, and Timothy Meagher with their mother KarryLu Carpenter. Chaz (Stacey) de Jonge, Christie (Brandon) Dorsey and Jessica (Matt) Padgett. Grandchildren; Breanna, Arthur, Mikah, Jakob, Blake, Brayden D, Asher, Zayne, Chloe, Paige, Kailey and Brayden P. His siblings; Mary, Patti and Barbi.
  Aunt Ging, family, students and friends. Michael moved to Las Vegas at the age of five. Graduated from Las Vegas High School in 1969. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy in the Vietnam War. Receiving his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at UNLV in 1975 and started his freelance photography business “Photographs by Michael ”. He started teaching in 1976 and in 1987 he went full time teaching Photo & Digital Technologies at the College of Southern Nevada.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Michael and Christine married July 17, 1993 and in 1995 were sealed in the Las Vegas Temple. After 25 years of teaching he retired from the college and started work at Fabulous Freddy’s. Mike enjoyed taking pictures, gardening, Sci-fi movies, riding his bike, hikes, swimming, snorkeling, fireworks, star gazing, sunsets and loved spending time with family. Above all, Mike will be remembered as a Good Man, caring Husband, Father, Grandfather and friend and he will be dearly missed.
