Marvin Lawrence Daniel Sr. was born to mother Marion Raglan-Daniel and biological father Ross Bowen 6/26/1941. Marvin was raised a man of faith in Albright Court in Lackawanna, NY by his mother and step father Homer Daniel. He attended and graduated from East High School, class of 1959.
Throughout high school Marvin was an impressive athlete. He was involved in sports such as football; but had a natural talent for Track and Field, as a champion who competed all across the state of New York. He also spent his free time as the lead keys player in his band performing at events all over Buffalo and Lackawanna NY.
After high school Marvin decided to stay in Buffalo, enrolling in Daemon College while making the Dean's List three years in a row. From there he continued his journey serving in the US military, stationed throughout Europe, but noted Germany as his favorite. After his return from service, he deepened his musical roots managing The Bluepoint Supper Club, a family-run black owned restaurant-lounge. Marvin hosted acts like Stevie Wonder, The Ojays, Mighty Clouds of Joy, Undisputed Truth, and many more for the community to enjoy.
Marvin was also known as a great handyman, in which many could depend on to fix the most random of things. Due to his skill in handy work, he earned a membership with the Mason Lodge tasked with remodeling homes and buildings. He was even a race car driver competing around New York State for a short period of time.
Marvin later found work at the Buffalo City Hall, before receiving his Bachelors from Medaille College. Succeeding his degree, he began work at Burgard High School with the special education department-as well as working security at Kensington High School. Finally after 25 years of employment as a data technician. Marvin retired from the Buffalo Post Office and moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, where he met and married Brenda Daniel on July 21, 2012. He joined the Harvest of Faith in Las Vegas.
Marvin is survived by his wife, Brenda Daniel, his siblings, 7 children, 2 step-children, and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
His siblings are Cheryl Kincaide, Clemortee Rosslyn Marable-Wesley, Annette Small, Ross Bowen Jr. and step-brother Dennis Daniel, with exception to his late younger step-brother Rodney Daniel.
His children: Marvin L. Daniel Jr., Karlton L. Daniel, Tammy M Townsend, Elycia S.
Daniel, Marcia M. Daniel, Marion D. Daniel and Lawrence D. Dixon. His stepsons:
David Ruffin, Darnell Ruffin. His grandchildren: Kendal Kimble, Jasmine Cheatham, Terrance Robinson, Perris-Karlton L. Jackson Kristian Taylor, Ashley Johnson, Zerena Drake, Taryn Hustace, Andre Hustace, Marley Nelson-Daniel; and his step-grandchildren: Kashmir, Amira, Tamarus, Zyare, Zania Ruffin, and Constance Sharpe. His
great-grand-children:

Loved, cared for, admired, respected and cherished by many, Marvin lived an adventurous life-full of love, family, purpose, and fulfillment.
