On March 20, 1948 George Henry Newell was born. George was the baby boy of the Late Johnnie Willie and Troy Newell Sr. George was born in Pelahatchie, Mississippi. George attended and graduated McCall High School. George played football and basketball in school; but he love baseball. Earlier in his life he married Laura Wilson and with this union their daughter, Latarsha Newell was born. In 1970, George moved to Las Vegas with his brother Roy Newell.

George was a member of Zion Methodist for over 30 years. George was a loyal employee of Caesar's Palace for over 30 years. He loved to listen to Johnny Taylor and loved his sports, but more so he enjoyed helping others, meeting people, talking sports and spending time with his family.
