Dorothy Jean Richardson was born June 26, 1954 to Addie Patterson and Jessie Brent in Chicago, IL. Both preceeding her in death.
Dorothy attended Valley High School Class of 1972. After completing High School she went right into the work force working in several of the major hotels throughout the Las Vegas Strip and Downtown. She was a very dedicated hard worker, strating out at the Las Vegas Hilton laundry room. She also went to work in Housekeeping for 22 years at the Golden Nugget as well as a Slot Attendant at the Buffalo Bills in Primm Nevada.
Dorothy received Christ at a very early age where she was baptised and very active at New Bethel Baptist Church. As an adult she moved her membership over to St. James Baptist Church under the Pastoral Leadership of Reverend Dornell Horn Sr. After joining St. James she went on to join the Usher Board, singing in the Choir and she put on a few Gospel Plays/Events, as well as help feed the hungry at the church pantry.
Dorothy really loved her family and always loved hosting family and friends, she enjoyed decorating her home then cooking up some good food and would play host to her family, friends, and even invite her neighbors over to join in on the festivities. She was very passionate about music it didn't matter if it was Gospel/R&B/Blues she loved it all. She also had some dancing feet, she would cut up a dance floor at any and every party, and don't get her on a spades table or a domino table, she not getting up to quick! She really enjoyed her life to it's fullest. She had love for traveling and enjoyed attending all her family reunions.
