Bettie Jean Davis was born July 6, 1941 to Mattie Haynes of Fort Worth, TX.

Bettie married Jessie Gray and relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada on the 1960's.

She worked as a Candy Striper at Southern Memorial Hospital, now known as UMC. She also worked for several hotels in the Las Vegas area as a guest room attendant.

Bettie was a member of Community Baptist. She fellow shipped with different churches such as New Light Baptist Church and Pilgrim Rest.
