Barbara Ann Grant Ezell was born March 13, 1954 to Jewel Ingram and J.C. Ezell in San Bernardino, California. She accepted the Lord into her life at a young age. She graduated from Sierra High School in San Bernardino. She continued her education and was well versed in many fields such as paralegal work, medical assisting, and the juvenile justice system.

On September 24, 1972 she married George Wayne Davis lll. On January 2, 1973 she gave birth to a beautiful baby girl Brenda Monique Davis in union with George Wayne Davis lll. Punkin moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1976, she resided on Miller Avenue, where she became the neighborhood mom and raised Brenda until adulthood.

She loved the beach as it was her place of serenity. Along with her love for jazz in the park and poetry. In 19778 to 1980 she served in the United States Army. She then work at Citibank as a security specialist from 1985 to 2007. In 1993,1996, and 2003 she was made a grandmother. She helped raised her granddaughter Alexis, Mistere Georgio, and Mijia until her passing she worked for CCSD as a bus driver / bus aide, this was her occupation until passing in her home in Las Vegas.
