Authur Lee Cook was born on July 2, 1949 to Leola Sims Cook and Jodie Cook. Authur Cook was united with the love of his life Kattie Cook for 35 years. Authur Cook worked at the Horseshoe as a sous-chef for 16 years and he also worked at UMC Hospital as a cook for 5 years.

He leaves to cherish his memories to his parents, mother: Leola Sims Cook, father: Jodie Cook, 5 sisters: Angeline Cook, Angie Cook, Doretha Miller, Ella Mae Cook, Flossie Cook, Shirlene Johnson, 6 brothersd: Jodie Jr. Cook, Lewis Cook, Harold Cook, Walter David Cook, Roy Cook, Odie Cook, His children: Marilyn Jordan, Stacie Mitchell, Marcelia Helen, Michelle Thrower, Patriciaa Trimble, Greg Bass, Angie Trimble, Carla Trimble, a host of grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death was his son: Authur Cook Jr.
